My name is Tracie Sample and I became the Librarian at LSE in 2009. Before moving to Montgomery, I taught Fourth Grade and was a Librarian in Alief I.S.D. beginning in 1990. I have a Bachelor's Degree in Education from Texas A&M University and a Master's Degree in Library Science from Texas Woman's University.
Libraries have undergone a huge transformation since I became a Librarian in the early 1990's. It is no longer a place students come just to check out books. At the Lone Star Library, we encourage students to explore science, technology, engineering, art, and math by reading, thinking and making things during their C.A.M.P. rotation. Students will also visit the Library each week to check out "Just Right Books".
Come on in and check out the amazing things that are happening in our Library. You will see students exploring, stretching their thinking by asking questions, creating and learning... and don't forget to check out a great book while you are here!
